Hi, I’m Laura Hancock. *
Laura is a wellbeing practitioner based in Oxford, offering Ayurvedic massage and yoga through the Oxford Wellbeing Coop. Her work brings together body-based practice, nervous system awareness, and a strong commitment to community-led care.
Alongside her clinical and teaching work, Laura has played an active role in shaping more ethical and sustainable structures for wellbeing practitioners. She is a co-founder of Oxford Wellbeing Coop and was the founding Chair of the Yoga Teachers Union, contributing to wider conversations about access, inclusion, and practitioner wellbeing.
Laura’s Approach
Laura’s work brings together Ayurvedic massage and yoga, guided by attention to how someone is feeling in their body on the day.
In yoga sessions, she offers accessible, grounding practices that prioritise breath, rest, and self-awareness over fixed outcomes. Sessions are paced gently and adapted to support different bodies, needs, and energy levels.
In Ayurvedic massage, Laura begins with a brief consultation and works with warm oils and traditional techniques to support balance and relaxation.
Across all sessions, she works collaboratively, with attention to consent, pacing, and what feels supportive for each individual.

“Laura's ayurvedic massage is wonderfully nurturing. She assesses beforehand which 'dosha' type you are, then selects the oils most appropriate for your constitution. I find this massage healing to the body, mind and spirit.
I've been fortunate to have one to one yoga sessions as well. Laura is always focused on your particular body, encouraging you to find what is comfortable for you in any given pose.
There is no judgement - only acceptance; that means I'm not concerned about doing things 'right', and so I gain maximum benefit from the session. Afterwards I feel calm, balanced and energised. ”
