Hi, I’m Nicole Shodunke. *

Nicole is a community wellbeing practitioner and coach working primarily with women, migrants, refugees, and people who have experienced displacement, isolation, or trauma.

She is the founder of Transition Lighthouse, a community-led project established in 2015 to support people navigating major life transitions. Her work centres belonging, connection, and practical support, creating spaces where people can come together to talk, share food, reflect, and rebuild a sense of stability — both individually and collectively.

Nicole works across Oxford, with a particular focus on under-resourced communities, and is part of the Oxford Wellbeing Coop to strengthen support for both communities and practitioners.

Nicole’s Approach

Whether working one-to-one or in groups, Nicole’s approach is collaborative and grounded, supporting people to reflect, build confidence, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the wider community.

Her practice draws on NLP and coaching, alongside group facilitation and community-based approaches. She creates welcoming spaces that encourage conversation, shared experience, and mutual support, rather than focusing on diagnosis or labels.
